    Ingredients

    • 225 g self raising flour
    • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ cup walnuts
    • 1 cup boiling water
    • 1 cup dates (pitted and chopped)
    • 5 tablespoons coconut oil
    • 5 tablespoons SPLENDA® Granulated

    Instructions

    Soak dates in boiling water for 10 minutes. Add coconut oil and mash with the fork to form a paste.

    Grease and line the base of 900 g loaf tin using oil and parchment paper. Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Mix together flour, baking soda, SPLENDA® Granulated and walnuts.

    Combine date mixture to the flour mixture, beating gradually to make a batter.

    Pour into the tin and bake for 45 minutes and an inserted skewer comes out clean.

    Leave on a wire rack to cool.

    Serve in slices.
